A friend approached me a week or so ago with a proposition — could we meet up for a photo shoot? She wanted pictures of me with my branding things and some products I sell (which you can find here if you’re interested) to practice for a photography class she’s taking. In exchange, she would send me the photos to use for my personal online marketing. It sounded like a win/win situation to me, so I happily agreed.
The pictures came out great! I was NOT worried. The photos in this post are from the photo shoot, in case you were wondering.
I met Jenn at our local Renaissance Faire. Jen runs the photo booth at the faire, and she’s taken plenty of photos of me and G in the past. Actually, she took one of my absolute favorite pictures of the two of us a few years ago.
Incorporate branding into your photos…

Dog mom
If you’ve read some of my other posts (or followed me online), you know I’m a dog mom. Being an advocate for my dog specifically and pitbulls in general is a big deal to me. You can read more about that in this post.
Celia Mae is a big part of my branding. So, Jenn wanted to make sure she incorporated Celia Mae into the photo shoot. Somehow, Jenn got her to cooperate and actually look at the camera. Usually when I try to take pictures of her or with her, she turns into a huge brat and refuses. But there are some great pictures! Including this one, which is my favorite…

Personal branding makes you stand out online
The Socialite Suite (my business mentor’s website) teaches that you need to brand yourself separate from the things you sell. In talking to Jenn, she is learning similar things in her photography class. I have consistent colors and design elements in all of my graphics, and try to be as consistent as possible.
If you are interested in learning more about personal branding, check out the Socialite Suite in the link above. If you want to dive deeper into personal branding, you can check out a video course by the Socialite Suite here, or you can check out all of the courses on offer here.

I love working with Jenn. I tend to be awkward and don’t love being the center of attention. But she is so sweet and fun to be around, and she makes me feel at ease.
If you guys are in CT or MA, reach out to Jennifer Provost. Her facebook page is here. If you need any kind of professional photos taken, please find her!
Thank you so much for shout out! And thank you for trying to spread the message about personal branding! Great timing that we were both learning about this at the same time. I was so happy you agreed to be my test subject, lol, and I’m glad you like the pictures. I love that one of you and Celia Mae, too! Thanks again for everything!
